Outstanding! Thank You!

Thank you.  It's a sculpture by Maggi Hambling called The Scallop on the beach at Aldeburgh (Suffolk).  It became quite controversial, with many people wanting it removed and unfortunately suffered some vandalism, but I think it's now accepted as a piece of outstanding art.

The inscription "I hear those voices that will not be drowned" is a quote from the Benjamin Britten opera, Peter Grimes.  Britten lived in Aldeburgh for 30 years and his works are regularly performed in the nearby Snape Maltings theatre.

Stranded on the Rocks - my local beach. Beautiful, soft strands of hairy seemingly coming from the rocks. Q2M with green filter on lens.

An early morning view of the iconic Mirage casino/hotel which opened in 1989, but will not be there much longer as Hard Rock Enterprises will be the new tenant and a new hotel in the shape of a guitar will be built when the Mirage is imploded to the ground.  Glad I was there to capture this iconic hotel.
