You'll need a very stable lens/camera support Neil … strong support essential to prevent shake … your 600mm will be FF equivalent 900mm

I have the Novaflex Nikon to SL adapter that I bought to use on my SL with my Otus 55mm. After seeing your images of the birds (lovely pictures by the way) I fancy trying some of that kind of photography when I get home.........do I need anything else to make the TL recognize the Nikon??

Here's an image from TL2 with Summilux-TL 34 at f/1.4. Cropped
PS. How do you upload those bigger pictures? :) It's not THAT cropped...

Save the image to your desktop, observe dimensions and size (it does not have to be as compressed as this one, max 1280 px and 500 KB ;) ); use the Forum uploader, position the cursor in your post and hit the add to post button.

Rob, I am very worried for you folks in Florida. I hope Irma would not be too nasty for you. As I am moving to your corner of the wood, it is interesting for me how the things go on!

We are all quite concerned at the moment. Having been through "Andrew" some twenty five years ago, my world changed forever as a result of that storm. So, did Miami.

I keep my fingers crossed that it will "miss us", but someone, somewhere else may well feel nature's wrath. Let's just hope that the storm stays at sea or decreases in its intensity so that the effects are minimal.

Thank you for your concern.

Rob

I cross my fingers for you too. My movers who are also from Fort Lauderdale, were complaining about not finding any water in the stores.

I think here, in America, we are privileged and know somehow we will  be taken care of; my heart goes for those less fortunate people on those islands. So many lives will  be lost again... Sad, sad!...

Once Irma is gone, please let us know how you are doing (if possible)

Neil, I am yet another Rob among the many here.  :)

If you have the Novoflex SL/NIK, you will see the message "This lens/adapter is not supported."  Neither T nor TL2 will transmit light to the LCD or EVF when it is attached.

If you have the other one (with no electronics), the camera will operate as if a fully manual lens is attached:  manual focus, manual aperture adjustment, limited EXIF data.
