Amanda, to my eyes and on my iPad it is very sharp with a very nice b/w.

I was a little disappointed of TL2 because Leica removed the flash. Although very weak, it has been extremely useful for me in different situations as I could not use an external flash with my visoflex always on the camera. For that reason, I still prefer my good trusted T.

But be very careful using flash so close to babies and little children. Their eyes are still too sensitive and can hurt.

Go shooting and posting, my friend. :)

Cheers Louis - I actually edited this on my iPad Pro in Lightroom.. I've been lazy to get out the MacBook :)

This is a heavy crop - so I wasn't as close to him as it appears.  You are right tho, flash and babies can be dangerous!  EDIT - just Googled this actually (to make sure) and seems that its not particularly dangerous, I think tho I'll always make sure I'm at a min distance of a metre from him and never fire it in a dark room - as I don't want to startle the poor little guy!

Yeh no onboard flash with the TL2 would make me second guess going that route now - I just experienced its usefulness now, not sure i want to give it up!

With my new TL2.  At a construction site in Hyderabad, India.  The last one had about 40% cropped out.  All reduced resolution to allow uploading here of course.

Dear friends, I had a post about the US Eclipse in the Leica T/TL forum (as I consider this forum as my "Home" in LUF), but the post  has been moved to the Nature Forum but the moderator as follows:

https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/275973-total-eclipse-us-east-coast/

This is just for those who saw the post and then, lost it! Nothing really important!  :D

This lens really doesn't like crop sensor cameras . . .

Olive-Backed Sunbird . . .

What do you mean - please elaborate!

Over the past few years I have used this lens with seventeen different camera bodies, eleven of which had either APS-C or micro four-thirds sensors.  A singular characteristic of this lens is that it is capable of rendering uniquely exceptional gradation of color, especially in fine details, a trait exploited best--in my subjective observation--when it is used with a full frame sensor, more so with the M240 and SL than with other brands.

TL2 with 90-280mm@280mm, 1/640@f/4, ISO 800, cropped at about 50%...

CDAF for this combo passes the "crow test" with flying [absence of] colors!   ;)
