Amanda (I guess this is your name?), I very much enjoyed your gallery. I am sure you will be very happy with T. It is really a very nice tool and so much under-rated.

It is funny to see after few years, and after all the negative reviews, people are discovering only now what a good camera it is.

Looking forward for your posts.

Regards,

My first shot from my new to me T with Summicron 23mm

Amanda,

Looks good: nice and sharp.  Good colors.

One thing about the T to note/consider: it will tend to overexpose a tad, so if need be go into the menu system and adjust the settings.

I also find that the DNG files are nicer than the Jpegs, so you might experiment a bit with this.

I like your Italian greyhound images from Melbourne! Graceful animals and so friendly.

Thankyou :)  they are fantastic companions and quirky little dogs!

Yes Amanda is me!  Thank you that's very kind of you, your work is outstanding... hope to learn lots.      When the T was first announced I was smitten with it, but at the newly released $5k buy in price with lens and body it was too much for me at the time. Then all the reports of slowness came through and I just forgot it.  Wasn't until a few months ago when wanting a Leica (I'm a long standing lurker and have had the odd M8 and Voigtlander lens) that I reconsidered the T. Then I got in touch with Rob (ropo54) and he totally convinced me the camera was for me :)

"Yes Amanda is me!"

If you retitle to "Amanda, I Am" you might have a catchy title for a new children's book? :)

Rob

(Louis is a superb photographer and will be able to give you wonderful constructive critique, and great advice on operation of the T though I am not sure you will need any).

The Oh yeh I have a flash on board now shot!   I thought I locked focus onto his eyes but it has missed and hit the side I think? Thoughts?  Looks like the seatbelt at the top of his shoulder is sharp in focus?

35848663974_e8beb7f24c_h.jpgSleepy..not.... sleepy.... not sleepy by mmanda withers, on Flickr

Amanda, to my eyes and on my iPad it is very sharp with a very nice b/w.

I was a little disappointed of TL2 because Leica removed the flash. Although very weak, it has been extremely useful for me in different situations as I could not use an external flash with my visoflex always on the camera. For that reason, I still prefer my good trusted T.

But be very careful using flash so close to babies and little children. Their eyes are still too sensitive and can hurt.

Go shooting and posting, my friend. :)
