RBScott Posted February 5, 2020 Share #1 Â Posted February 5, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Whenever I remove my SL2 battery, I lose all language, app, date and time settings, etc., and I'm forced to set them each time I remove the battery. Has anyone experienced this? I'm now charging with the usb-c port, but would like to figure this one out...... Cheers, Scott

jaapv Posted February 5, 2020 Share #2 Â Posted February 5, 2020 That means that the internal battery does not hold charge or is disconnected. Consult Leica, or if your camera is recent enough, return it for an exchange.

dsm21 Posted July 16, 2021 Share #8  Posted July 16, 2021 I had the same issue, but solved it following the manual, and letting the main battery fully charge, and thus allowing the internal battery to recharge.  ..."The replaceable battery supplies power to a backup battery, which is permanently installed in the camera. This backup battery retains the date and time for some weeks. Once the backup battery is depleted, it must be replenished by inserting a charged main battery. The time and date will have to be set again after a full depletion of both batteries. the solution is to charge the main battery..."
