My purchase decision is not the thread's topic. I was just asking a question about a photo.

Seemed like a fair assumption based on questions of highlight performance. My comment wasn’t meant to insult, rather to recommend the camera, because it is a beautiful thing.

I have breakfast at a small cafe every Weds with a group of friends. Today I caught one of them mid-rant and he's a very expressive guy.  He'd kill me for posting this but fortunately he's not on this forum.

Thank you – was your point of focus on the leaves at the bottom? Or elsewhere?

It was on the middle leaf at the bottom. If you pixel peep here, it won't look sharp. The full res image on my big monitor shows it to be acceptably sharp. I was shooting wide open and the f1.0 Noctilux is known to not be razor sharp at full aperture.

How come he's making that salute? It's certainly illegal to do that in Germany – and in France I think. [...]

He waves his hand, not making a salute. Thats perfectly legal in any place.

Nazi salute is when the arm and hand form a straight line forward and upward: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_salute
