My last photo of Neowise, taken again from just outside the churchyard of St Mary's, Aythorpe Roding.  M10-M 35mm Summilux, 8 second exposure at f4.0 shortly before midnight on 20th July.  Will have to wait 6800 years for it to return . . .

Whatever you're doing, it's way better than me... although it might be the hazy air near the ocean in Maine as my excuse. Your astrophotography is excellent!

Thanks, but I can't take the credit.  I set the camera up on a tripod and my son tells me what the settings should be.  He is an amazing astro-photographer - at least, that's what his Dad says!  Take a look at his website and judge for yourself.  Also, click on Films in the top menu and scroll down to the time-lapse Blackout City.  I have no idea how he created this.

I agree with your son's Dad that he's an amazing astro-photographer. I liked the film Ancients a lot too!

Glad you like it.  Ancients was shot in the Atacama Desert in Chile.  Blackout City is London (obviously), Spirits in Iceland and Dark Island was a commission from the Tourism Board in (I think) La Palma to encourage star tourism.  He's also had time-lapse commissions from The Weather Channel and Sky TV but a two minute film takes many hours of actual footage and days of shooting.  Blackout City took months to complete.  He's moved on and doesn't shoot time-lapse any more.
