How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Images with highest number of likes - from any thread on the forum - get onto the fav board. Typically this means that an image needs 25 (or thereabout) likes. Presently, film images are heavenly represented on the fav board, simply because the film thread has many readers/supporters...

I finally picked up my SL2 at Camera West here in the SF Bay Area yesterday, and the weather gods chose to reward me rather than punishing me with a lovely sunset.  I actually had to lower the contrast a touch in Lightroom (rare for a sunset photo).  This is the Bay Ridge and the Golden Gate as seen from the Berkeley Hills.  75mm Summicron SL @ f/2, ISO 800, 1/100s shutter.
