In the past i found them quite cute. Bit i did not realise that they have such strong claws!
I am very glad that these animals are not marauding around here... ;)
Or can they be trained to fight the mole invasion this year?

The females and joeys (young) are very cute and timid. The males are large and strong and generally prefer to avoid human contact but if confronted can be intimidating.

SL2 + stacked M2L and R2M adapters + APO TC 1.4 + Telyt-R 560 6.8. 1970s glass can still output some good pics.

The resulting f-stop must have been f/9.5 and with 780mm on the focal length compromises with shutter speed / iso must have been significant. Yes you got a shot but is it really practical and best tool for the job?

Bright sunlight thus ISO was 800 which is well within sweet spot of SL2 so I’d say yes, reasonably practical given the lens + TC setup is sub $1200 for an ~800mm equivalent lens. Yes it does look like a bazooka but a lightweight one I will point out and thus useful for field work. Agreed an APO 280 f/4 R lens plus 2X APO TC is more practical but shorter and significantly more expensive (but very nice and you don’t have to worry about CA). If / when Panasonic or Sigma or Leica can get to a field usable 800mm, I’m all in. The current Sigma long zoom is 400 6.3 which puts you over f/12 at 800mm with TC.

The nature as painter - in this case the water in which this blossom of a lotus was reflected. With SL 2 and Sigma 100-400.

Very nicely done! And when I click on it and enlarge the detail on my screen those eyes look sharp and serious!
