Crescent Moon hand held taken tonight.  In theory Mars, Jupiter Venus and Uranus should be 'visible', but this is cropped too tight.  SL2 with 90-280 at 280 f/4

A little later, a darker sky, ISO 6400, SL2, 90-280 VE.  Venus Botton right. The little dot top left should / might be the planet Uranus (see https://www.space.com/see-moon-point-to-uranus-march-2023) Image stabilisation on.

I have to apologise and eat some humble pie.  The very faint stars to the left of the Moon in the picture are probably stars, and not Uranus, which should be between them, checking the star map from the link (click on the image to see the two very faint stars between the Moon and the top left star).  The top left star is definitely NOT Uranus.

 Sorry, I got a bit over-excited. :o(

I am however, very pleased at the quality of the image stabilisation, for a hand-held, though braced against a doorframe shot.

SL2 24-90 F2.8-4

Sold SL2 to acquire M11. Absolutely love the M11 but was also missing my SL2...so I re-acquired it.

Now using both cameras simultaneously or independently depending on the use case.

How did you focus bracket with SL2?

I used AF-S spot and moved the spot with the cursor over the subject trying to pick points in all focus layers, a fully manual process. Stacking than in PS and looking at the masks it turns out that usually I have more "in-focus" areas than needed to stack, but to have is better than to need...

Wish Leica would provide a firmware update automating focus stacking. Should be a relatively straightforward process for Leica software engineers. 🤞
