One of my own "challenges" of taking something dead and making it attractive. Dead rose.

I'll join in on the moon shot fun.. (have taken hundreds over the years but my first with the SL2)

Sigma 150-600 @ 600mm f8 1/640s ISO 200 (click thru for better resolution)

(To be honest, I've gotten better results with a Nikon Coolpix P1000 with it's insane 3000mm zoom :D)

You achieved the challenge!  Great photo.  What lighting set up did you use?

Thank you very much. 🙂

The flower is long dead, and has been out of water for about a month. It's being held upright by a pair of foreceps on a shortened stem. The backdrop is a piece of an 11x17 inject paper taped to the wall behind the flower. 3 lights non-strategically setup, mostly to light the rear of the flower (you can see the inconsistent lighting in the background), and a little foreground lighting. f/16 on a tripod. Some detail pulled out via Coler Efex Pro.

This was my prior "challenge" of taking something pretty and turning it the opposite. The "bronzing" of the flower. SL2 + APO 100mm Macro-R
