Near Málaga. Although given the way things are going I won't even be allowed to leave the pueblo by next week :)

Let's try to survive 🙂

Maybe once the corona virus problem has gone away I'll try to contact anybody in Valencia who owns the M10 to see if I can borrow it for a couple of days.

Good luck down there!

I finally got some moments to play with this (not really allowed out here!)

PLEASE NO ONE THINK MY RESULTS ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF WHAT SOMEONE COULD ACHIEVE WITH THIS SOFTWARE!

I struggled from start to finish... firstly to remember how cmd works, them with what to do with the "negative" tiff file in my app

I "made" (camalogica did the hard work)  these at 1.0 gamma, but then added gamma in post as they were a bit too flat

anyway - here they are

I've finally had time to install and test this. Unfortunately there is something wrong.

I run the command, after a few second it goes back to the prompt but the output directory is empty. No errors, no messages. Nothing.

My input files are M9 .dng files shoot at ISO400.

Have you run it from the same folder? I mean, something like expressed here:

Are you using Wine?? If so attach some screenshot of your command line, maybe I can help 🙂

Thanks everybody for testing, I'm also blocked at home, but keep working remotely.

Kind regards,

Tomás

Thanks Adam for testing, your shoots look good 🙂, I mean, they look like really old kodakchrome.

As said before many times I use SilverFast HDR for developing.

Could you maybe share those DNGs with me? Would you mind?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Tomás,

I've got it working. The input/output paths were relative in my command. When I use absolute it works.

The results are strange. This is what I get when using -f superia200, I guess I'm doing something very wrong.

Sure Tomás, inbox me your email and I'll wetransfer them to you

Shame your app doesn't support the 240 which I sometimes think would benefit from a more "filmic" output 🙂

Output file is TIFF with Gamma 1.0 as default.

So, for example, in photoshop, you will have to correct gamma to 2.2, then do negative and levels auto adjustment.

Doing a levels adjustment on your shot gives the following (with really low JPG quality).

BTW: You can always add the -autodevelop option that will do it for you 🙂

The blue cast is because of orange film cast (It's actually the opposite).

Here is a tutorial to develop film with Lightroom, it should work pretty much with the output done by m9tofilm.

In 3:53 you are able to see the blue cast too.

If you are using LR to develop just remember to set output gamma to 2.2 (with -gamma 2.2) or apply it yourself with Photoshop, GIMP or any other program of your choice.

Just my two cents!

Tomás

Thanks for your feedback. Your version looks a lot better 😁

I tried with -gamma 2.2 -autodevelop and the result is just about identical as the previous one I sent (blue). I don't have Photoshop or anything like that. I just use Iridient Developer which doesn't have auto levels or anything like that.

Edit: the blue version has been inverted.

(I can't get the cmd line to work today, which is odd - I'm copying and pasting what I did yesterday!)

Hi again,

I've uploaded the images at:

All I've done is develop the program with the following command:

m9tofilm.exe -i "E:\DATA\LeicaM9\dng\ADAM" -o "F:\DEV\output" -f superia200

And then develop using SilverFast HDR with the following settings:
