2019 Sevile Dinner

Dear All, 

From my reconnaissance earlier this year, everything feels two hours later than the rest of Europe and my advice is to go with the body clock and not the round clock. Even though I normally eat around 7pm, in Seville I was not hungry until after 9pm. I will be booking this restaurant for 9pm and for the One Challenge I will be controversial and say that we meet up at 1pm and not the regular noon. I have not picked a venue for the afternoon meetup. 

Here is the menu for us, priced at €35. There were options for €40 or €45 per head, but I have asked if the wagyu beef can be offered on the €35 menu. 

At end of this email, is the list of people I know are coming, please firm up the numbers for yourselves.

For others, please tell me if you are coming and how many of you.

 Scrambled cod by the chef

 Cod with citrusy coconut vichyssoise
 Iberico pork shoulder loin

 Deconstructed cheesecake.

 Wide cellar of our wines:

Rioja, Ribera del Duero, vinos andaluces Beers, refrescos, water, etc.

This was the €40 option, for which I could ask for additional fish starters. 

There will be a vegetarian option. 

What do you think - €35 or €40?

•   Iberico ham croquettes.

•   Smokey cured salmon with vegetables noodles.

  Individual to choose

•   Pintxo hake of the Cantabrian with vegetables

•   Wagyu beef sirloin ( 200 gr.)

Thanks for all your efforts on this. The €40 menu would be our first choice but we’d be quite happy with the €35 if that’s the majority vote.

Still 2 of us for dinner.

I'd like to say I will join you all this year but my ongoing property nightmare continues so I'm completely up in the air at the moment.

If I do come it is going to have to be a pretty last minute decision so hopefully the restaurant can squeeze another space on the table! (I'm not fussy what I eat!).

I too prefer the €40 option! Let me wait for the opinions to come in and like certain politicians, select the choice by majority.

My preference would be the 40 EUR choice but would also go with the 35 EUR option, should the majority prefer it. I can also confirm my attendance.

I will also arrange a vegetarian menu. 

I need to firm up the numbers and pay a deposit, so please let others know we are at the menu stage of the dinner. If you can also let me know if you prefer the hake (fish) or beef or a vegetarian option, I can let the restaurant know - although they may ask again on the night to confirm. 

I am looking forward to the Challenge already.
