I can understand people waiting for the SL2 but selling their SL's before the SL2 is even announced let alone shipping seems premature to me. Without my SL and no SL2 yet, I put my M10 (+ M21 Summilux) back to work. Welcome, dear visitor! In the image above is a stack of 4 layers. A keen eye and experienced Long exposure user will know that burst of fire works do not take more than 4 seconds while the lights on the buildings will require more than 12 seconds. In addition to include a ‘blue hour’ backdrop an hour earlier before the building lights come on and two fire works burst makes up my picture. These are the kind of photography I enjoy as I pre plan for my shots and executed them on scene according to plan. After succeeding, I’ll get bored and move on to other challenges. This is where I miss my SL as it self correct lines near the end of the barrel on SL 16-35mm VE. below is the shot that I've corrected on vertical distortion in LR on two layers: Welcome, dear visitor! Chaemono Posted August 4, 2019 Share #51 Posted August 4, 2019 Bud’s leaving the comfort of the M10 board and budding in here leads me to believe that he’s anxiously awaiting to trade in his other M10 for the SL2. He’ll love IBIS with his Noctilux and the combo will look gorgeous. Unlike with the Panasonic bodies where one wouldn’t want to be caught dead with an M lens on them. BTW, I was promised to be the first one to get the SL2 in my country. That’s likely after Jono will have published his review, though. 😁

I could not get the Leica Store folks to tell me more presently in my country on SL2, unlike Q2 release earlier, there was wind, smoke & sound ...about it’s release when it came close. Guest Posted August 4, 2019 Share #59 Posted August 4, 2019 My buddy in KL seems to think leica are working on a AF adapter for M lenses
Chaemono Posted August 4, 2019 Share #60 Posted August 4, 2019 Why not. It needs a little robotic finger or a wheel placed around the focus ring and a motor to turn it. But then M lenses come in different sizes. It’s not a very practical solution and it would cannibalize sales of native SL lenses.
