So I confirm it will work.  I have been using Nikon DF and D3s files as well as the DNG files from Leica.  The big files are a bit taxing on the software.  Lightroom works great and I have since switched to Lightroom.

i still have and use on occasion aperture and use it w/my Q (classic) and on my old mac mini 2011 and my 2015 mbp aperture works aok with the reasonably sized DNG's from the Q (classic)  my editor of choice is rawpower-- which is similar to aperture (not surprising in that the developers are former Apple/Aperture engineers)
