Nikon z7 was recent purchase, with new 50 1.8 (superb resolution) and 35 1.8 (almost as good) lenses. Helpfiul video guides out there and have more or less managed with the set-up. But after Leica simplicity…..

Weight is managable too but it's an depressingly ugly thing after say, the Leica Q P – a really fine piece of industrial design.

I really liked my Fuji X100. It just feels very nice, with lovely images too. And the lens doesn't stick out so far compared to the Q, making it a more portable/pocketable camera.

Oddly my favorite images have come from my Sony a7rIII paired with a canon 35 1.4 L lens. That being said, I’m very much in awe of the Q images I’m getting! Have Fuji X100T and am selling cause it never met my expectations... raw files just blah.

Canon 5DSR, my workhorse for landscape and architectural photography. Alongside with 17/f4 TS-E lens, i also still keep my 35/85/135 L lenses, I don't do zooms anymore. Everything else my Q is there for me.

I would have to be the odd one out and list my Pentax DSLRs (K1, K5IIs) and something like 18 lenses, including several premier primes.  The good news is that I can use any of my Pentax lenses with my M10 as well.  That said, I do find many applications for my K1 and its lenses where I need tight macro and long reach.  Generally, my M10 and Q are the best complement to my Pentax stuff.

Currently it is Nikon Z6 with available native mount lenses.

love the 35mm..but it’s losing out to my Q

I bought the Z7 and 35 + 50 lenses – the latter exceptional. I do wish you could clear all that peripheral info when looking through the EVF and just have focusing square when framing.

I went through the same thing as the original poster. Got the Q, absolutely loved it and loved how easy the files are to work with in LR, but felt the need to still have other focal lengths. I tried Sony (a7ii & rx100 vi) and Fuji (X-Pro2 & X-T2). Image quality of all were nice, but I found I had to do a lot more work in LR to achieve it. Tried other editors and came to the same conclusion. And I also found that I just didn't enjoy having to do that much editing. I also found that I didn't enjoy using the others near as much as the Q.

I had also considered the SL but found it too large. I considered the CL but I would need IS for the focal lengths I wanted to use. I had used Canon and Panasonic in the past and didn't really want to go back. So, after much soul searching, I've decided that I can probably live without the extra focal lengths since my usage of such was not all that common after getting the Q.  My current plan is to stick with the Q (Q2 once one becomes available for me) and my phone as my only cameras. If I ever have a real need for other focal lengths I suspect it will be a one-off type of thing and I can rent to cover the need.

Nikon D5/D850 is a superb wildlife and Landscape combo, but it’s a lot to haul around.  They say the best camera s the one you have with you.  That’s why for travel that’s not wildlife/landscape specific I purchased the Q2.

On the airplane enroute to Lisbon with my Q2 for its first trip. We’ll see!
