I own both lenses; however, I haven't done any major comparative testing yet (and may not the right guy to do this), but I like what I'm seeing from the f/2 version. For the record: I'm new to this forum - and it seems that I can't post images of any reasonable resolution yet, so I'll stick to verbage for now. I'll find a way to link to files, I guess ... I own half a dozen 35mm lenses for M mount; I'll list them here in order of arrival in my collection because I think it gives you so

Just to reassure M users. CV 21/3.5 vs CV 21/4 on M240. No 6-bit coding, no red edge correction, no vignetting correction. F/5.6, focus at infinity.  CV 21/3.5: Hello guest! I received 35mm F2 asph Ultron (with hood).

It is beautiful, with a classical look in black color. It matches very well with the hood. Personally, hood seems to be a must-buy.

Another strength is its weight (less than 200 g).

Color rendering is modern, with slightly warm tone. Bokeh is rather classical.

Central resolution at f2 is very sharp (top quality). I did not test peripheral resolution yet.

As overall, it is strongly recommended if you are looking for classical looking lightweight 35mm f2 lens with excellent central resolution and color rendition.
