I really want AF on the SL sometimes and I would like a 35mm. Since the 35 is not coming until next year, I thought I would pick up the 75 to use until then. I am anxious to try it out. After recently (August) dropping my M 2.4/75mm lens and having it sent it for repair (glass was fine) and still not having received it back, I really begin to question my deeper plunge into Leica. Repair time is outrageous. I have been using my SL with M lenses only and really thought that is how it would stay. I have the M21 and M.95/Nocti. My M10s are great cameras but the wife isn't all about manual focus like I am. 😬 The Fuji looks and appears to be a great camera. A really great camera. I like the rangefinder style. The 50R pushes all my buttons with the exception of not having the pancake lens ready until next year. I weighed out the pros and cons and decided that my Sony a7Riii was close enough to cMF that Fuji offered. So, against my better judgement, I purchased the 75SL and will wait on the 35SL. 😉 The 75 looks to be a performer and maybe a second SL will grace my door when they up the MP. I've been using it as a portrait, environmental lens for the last 6 months and it's been a brilliant performer. I have for years been addicted to Ms and smaller cameras, eschewing DSLRs as being huge and heavy. And now I can't put the SL/50SL down. 6bit Posted October 19, 2018 Author Share #15  Posted October 19, 2018 The 2/75SL is not as big as I thought it would be. Especially after using the Nocti 50 on it. It is a big camera but not big in the same way as a DSLR. The body is thin so my mind makes it ok now. relms Posted October 25, 2018 Share #17  Posted October 25, 2018 The Summicron-SL 75 is the finest lens I have ever had the pleasure of using.  It is a perfect fit for the SL body, and the image quality is simply amazing.  I am tempted to pick up the Summicron 90, as well, but so far I have resisted since I already have the Vario Elmarit 24-90, which is a great lens in its own right, albeit somewhat larger then the 75 and 90 primes.  1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Same for me.  The little lenses are great.  Expensive, but the only way of getting compact gear on a full-frame camera in modern times.  However, the SL lenses produce images that are so much cleaner than the Summi/Noctilux M lenses at least, that I have embraced them, despite their being bigger, in general, than the Nikon lenses that I started with.  Makes the world go around, I suppose. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
