How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

I brought my beloved 2.8/28PC when bringing families to a day tour near city of Melbourne, thinking that I can use it to take some architectural photos.
Then I found myself sitting on a bench, watching my wife and two sons playing. The sun angle was perfect and I feel that I have to take some photos for them.
For the first time, I tried blind shooting. I set the aperture to 8 (maybe 11 later) and iso lowest as possible, so the shutter speed is around 1/2000. I don't know the DOF at these aperture so I did a few test shot and found the roughly right focus. Then I placed the camera on my knees and just shot.
The results amazed me. Although some are still out of focus, more or less, I finally GET THE RIGHT MOMENT. As family snap shots, I'm more than satisfied with them.
It's a shame I haven't developed this technique unit now, after 10 years since I started using these manual lenses. It's way faster than AF! It's really interesting and satisfying.
