Last Saturday's car show.  Used a 50/2 Summicron-R (Ver. I) from 1974 on an SL2-S.  ISO 200 and most at f/2.8.  I like the look.

How to upload images:

Prepare the image as follows:
1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits
2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended)
3.   Sharpen properly for screen.
4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members).
5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog.
6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and select the image.

It is also possible to embed an image through linking, but the  embedded image must still fall within the forum size rules above. There is also the risk of a broken link when the image is moved or deleted on the other site. Not recommended.

When you find an image on the forum you see a preview. Click on it for good quality. When the plus symbol appears click on it for full size.

Thanks for great instructions.  I have a question…. Just before covid struck, I tried a M240 and gave back…. Mistakenly thinking that I could get on with RF, and a Zeiss 35mm. It was too small to handle, and the camera too big for it (for me)

And frankly I wasn’t ready to slow down back from auto focus.

Q.  Would I be right in saying that I really should have got a R to M adapter and and used the live view?  I am kicking myself for not going this route. Would it have been a good viewing route?

Live view works very well with non-RF lenses. I use a Leica 21-35 R lens, a Zeiss 28-85 and a Rolleiflex (Zeiss design, Kirin built) 35-105, all of which work well on the M10-R. The photo below was taken on the M10-R with the 21-35 Vario Elmar-R.

What is a RF lens? Yes it is possible and it works good. Currently I use R lenses on my M11 and it works very good. Maybe the best way a R lens ever ease used. Imagine that 40 or 50 years ago when the lens was developed no one imagined that the light which passes this lens will hit a 60 MP sensor.

I recently bought a APO-TELYT-R 180 in mint conditions for doing some sports photography (horse riding). The results are great and super sharp.

the only diasadvantage of the m240 is, that the viewfinder has less resolution but at daylight the same results should be possible.
