90/2.8 2nd version + NON APO Extender! I expected more chromatic aberration... I was surprised by it, apart the grey-rendition of the blue sky.

Hi Fernando,

I beg your forgiveness for playing with your picture but I simply took your picture into Adobe Camera Raw, balanced the colours against the grey strip on the barge at the left hand side and increased the blues until the whites and blues in the sky and water looked about right to me.  Obviously I wasn't there when you took the picture and if the warm colour cast from the late afternoon light produced the pictures that you originally posted then I wouldn't want to mess with that.  All I've done is shown that the colour balance is what turned the sky grey.

Pete.

Dunk, Do you mind explain in detail, how your setup is composed. I'm especially puzzled by your use of the R Bellows and a Tele lens, the bellows I have and would like to find some use for.

Thanks

Preben

I enjoy using my 21-35mm Vario Elmar-R f3.5 on my R5 and have used it on my M240 but I am not a big fan of the necessary hot-shoe EVF.  Decided to take a walk into town this afternoon with the lens fitted to my A7III (via a Novoflex adapter). The combination weighs 1210g, so very similar to the M240 + Vario combo - and is a lot easier to use.  Note - all three images were exported from the .arw as 1024px @ 72dpi jpg's.  Nothing to criticise performance-wise of the results, so will put it to further use on the A7III.

1) At 21mm & f8.

The MR Telyt R 500 mm at a short distance. The APS-C camera was handheld at 1/60 sec, but with IBIS switched on.

Also the Metabones lens booster was used, so the focal length was around 500 mm..

The sharpness area can be documented by FastRawViewer. FastRawViewer evaluates the buffer of the video card of the computer.

There still  is one difficulty here. A smaller picture is sharper. So at 6000 x 4000 pixels no red was seen.

The picture below is for the version with 1000 x 667 pixels, giving much red marking.

I tried to copy the relative large depth of focus of the Dragon Fly pictures of forum member dunk in another thread. Difficult.

whale-watch off Monterey with the CL R135 f/2.8 and x2 APO. Seals had herded the anchovies into a pack so that the whales could get them. The gulls followed the whales, and when the whales shot up to get the anchovies, a lot of the fish were thrown into the air, causing the gulls to swoop down.

Hello everyone,

New to the Leica R system.
Here's one from a local stroll. Leicaflex SL2 + Elmarit 35mm + Portra 400.
Love the colors this lens produces.
