There is no Leica R equivalent of those two you cited.

I have Leica Summicron-R 2/35mm that is far heavier than M 2/35 Asph. and not so good IQ.

In 75mm, there is no Apo R Summicron 2/75mm.

My wife use one Apo-Summicron-M 2/75 Asph. and she let me use sometime, so I know that 75mm M is apo.

One of the best Leica lens that we use.

My question was for Elcan R 2/75 ( for TheGodParticle answer just before) if it's apo.

I have one M monochrome 246 and SL (601) and Tl2. Street photographey. Portrait. And landscape. Because R lebs is good quality and cheap. ( I think)

You might consider the R 80 1.4 which is a Mandler design lens. Very unique look wide open and very sharp when stopped down. (The equivalent is the the 75 1.4 M lens).  Check out some of the threads on the R forum for opinions and photos.

[emoji6] Is it Apo, then ?

I know that you own one (or more Elcan).

I think it's not cheap Leica R lens as the OP ask for.

I have some Elcan lenses, yes.

You’re right, this is not an APO lens, yet it still has very impressive performance.

Definitely the opposite of a cheap/low cost lens.

The M-APO 75/2 can be had, in excellent condition, for about 2500€. Unthinkable when compared to an Elcan rarity.

Then again, performance and rarity are two entirely different things. For the performance of the Noctilux 50/1.2 I’d pay maybe €500, but the rarity commands a much higher price.

Only reason I brought it up is to say that there is indeed is an R-75/2 lens.

There is no cheap R 75 or 80 but the Summicron-R 90/2 pre-apo is one of my favorite 90's ever and i like much the Summicron-R 35/2 as well. They can be had for much less than USD 4,000 but they are more bulky than M 35/2 & 75/2 and of course they can only work with the EVF or the LCD. Great lenses on my A7s mod but i prefer the small size of M lenses on small bodies and the EVF-2 or VF-2 is so sluggish that i don't use it anymore. If i had an SL601 i would probably prefer the larger R 35/2 and 90/2 but it is a matter of taste obviously.
