This thread is suffering from overposting by a few members; I have hidden some posts. It is a an unwritten convention that we leave space for other participants. Street Preacher - He was saying something about City People wearing ear buds and not being able to connect with him or the street. Over the years its been gradually considered normal to block the sounds of the street out, to tune out from the environment and exist in a different world of sounds. Just another distraction diverting people from connecting to the real world. Is there something wrong with the Street?

I would personally have left my ear buds firmly IN. There are some incredibly obnoxious street ‘preachers’ in London who appear to think it’s completely fine to abuse people as they go about their day. Wankers.

 

edit - though I assume this man was being perfectly pleasant!
