scott kirkpatrick Posted February 3, 2019 Share #21 Â Posted February 3, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) There are reports that it is even sharper with the SL than with the M10, but I use it with the M10 and think it's as good as it could be.

RayD28 Posted February 4, 2019 Share #22 Â Posted February 4, 2019 Anyone using the newer version with film and have a recommendation? Â
benmills Posted February 5, 2019 Share #23  Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) I just got my film back from a trip to the UK with the newer version. Here are a few shots I took. Scans came from thedarkroom so they are decent, but not perfect. Also these are obviously just snapshots, not the best way to fully judge the performance of the lens. Happy to share more photos if it would help you make a decision. Personally I’m very pleased with the results on film. I mostly bought the lens to have a compact travel lens, however I’m been very happy with the results. Welcome, dear visitor! alexzz Posted August 9, 2020 Share #25 Â Posted August 9, 2020 The Asph v2 has better sharpness, in center AND corners :Â Asph V1 vs V2 streetsilhouettes.com also said that v2 has a better bokeh.
blackdot Posted May 15, 2022 Share #26  Posted May 15, 2022 Has there been any more definitive evidence of differences between these lenses, specifically on the M10 and M246? We’ve got some reviews saying the old one is sharper in the corners, some the new one, and that Ken guy saying they are optically the same. Does this mean there is really no difference? I’m not concerned with hoods. Thanks.

What kind of mount does it use? Â Also, what years were the 11606s made? thanks

With the hoods on there is only c.5mm difference in height and the hood caps are the same. Essentially the 28 cron has a 'squashed' hood that reduces the difference caused by the longer barrel. I always use a hood so for me there is essentially no benefit to the elmarit (aside from cost obviously).....  Welcome, dear visitor! lct Posted July 11, 2024 Share #30 Â Posted July 11, 2024 What is shown in post #13 is not the Elmarit 28/2.8 asph v1 (11606) but the Elmarit 28/2.8 asph v2 (11677).

A very big and hearty Welcome to the Forum!, gdanielcea, and I trust you will have lots of fun here! In relation to the lenses and hoods used? I suspect that Q most certainly would have said; "Oh Do Pay Attention, 007!"......😸...... As ltc has mentioned in post #30 the comparison of 'Lenses with Hoods' (in post #13) was the 28mm f2.8 Elmarit ASPH v2 and a 28mm f2.0 Summicron. Philip.
