Thank you very much for your first contributions. Please keep it coming!

50mm actually feels a bit like a telephoto lens, doesn't it? Can also be "boring-y"somehow, lacking some dynamics? Is it actually more difficult to "successfully" fill the frame with a 35mm lens compared to a 50mm? Or does all of this always and solely depend on subject matter, perspective and the art of seeing "it" (as subjective as it might be sometimes)?

It depends on the users. For me as example, I found it easy to fill the frame with a 35/40 lens, and overflow with a 50. The 50mm to me is always losing background context. I have developed the habit of shooting at 2-3m away from subjects, where the 35/40 handle the relationship between a clear main subject and sufficient, interesting background subjects. While using a 50mm lens I have to shoot at 5m away at least to make sure I don’t let subjects go out of the frame, but at this distance, the compression feeling of the lens kinda isolate the subjects, leaving little room for background context, and in turns, makes me feel isolated to the street too. It builds an invisible wall around me and the street. Also, IMO a picture produced by a 50mm usually forces you to pay attention to the main subject and then nothing else worthwhile a visit. However, I can often produce pictures that have interesting sub-subjects and background so that the audiences’ visions can be directed or spontaneously search around the image to obtain a more interesting and prolonged viewing experiences. After all, the differences I talked about above are just differences and up to everyone’s taste, there is certainly no an absolute standard of “which one is superior”.

Why ? Do you think Leica owners are particularly patient or else prodigiously uncomplaining?

No, on the contrary. But they have (more than) enough money to have a proper and fast internet connection

Are you naive or simply envious?

Not all owners of Leicas are particularly rich. Some bought their Leica gear second hand or at bargain prices, others have cut down on other things just so they could afford a Leica. Well, some Leica owners are fairly or even very rich. So what?

How do propose installing a 'proper and fast internet connection' in a small village far away from the nearest city, or on a island in the Atlantic or some such place?

For me it's a sign of simple courtesy to take care when posting pictures in a forum so that the resources of both the members and the forum are not consumed more than necessary. I also read my own posts before sending them off, most of the time.

Neither naive nor envious - just stating the simple fact. Here it comes again - vast majority of Leica owners (if not all! ) - can afford and have a fast internet connection. I have no idea if they are particularly reach or not but did definitely not purchased Nocti because they cut down on the expenses to their internet provider 😛
As for Leica and bargain prices...no comment 🤣

You read your own posts? God for you! But since I do not want to read them anymore (at least about this), let's stop it here.
Let's agree to disagree and call it a day 🖖
