June and July are the best months having the weather in mind and the light. Remember that in the summertime here the sun never sets. :)

Hi, great pictures that let our plans for visiting Iceland becoming stronger again. Some years ago we cancelled our flights because of the outbreak of the volcano in the south…   What do you think: Is mid July to early August a good time for exploring Iceland by bicycle? I heard that July is not good because of strong rivers we have to cross.

I would say that the best time is be here from mid June to mid July. After that, as you correctly state, the rivers become very powerful because of the heat melting the snow and glaciers. Also, in mid July towards the end of July the day gets a little bit shorter again (and the night even dark! :) ) and therefore you'll get very interesting lighting in the evening and in the morning.

Adalsteinn, you could run excursions!

I agree with Reynolds on the sharpness. This image shows in my mind perfectly just how sharp the Summilux really is. Here is the original uncropped image. :)

That is a staggeringly good example of the capability of this camera/lens...

Once again, a photograph brilliantly illustrates a point that no end of posts have attempted to discuss/argue.

This bodes well for future M Cameras... and if that was AF, I'm impressed.

Had the Q been available last year, I may not have bought my M... (and I'm genuinely unsure if that was a good or a bad thing...).

It was shot with AF, which is one of the most accurate AF I've seen. Coming from a Sony RX1, a camera which I really liked but with a rather awful AF, the Q is really exceptional in comparison when it comes to precise AF.

Really pleased to hear that, I loved my RX1 for the images but using it could be a very frustrating experience at times. I feel a bit silly upgrading to the Q almost solely for fast AF and a viewfinder but I guess it's a testament to just how good the RX1 is aside from those issues.
