FYI, the Leica Store in Boston MA (857-305-3609) may still have one available.

FYI, i just noticed the Leica stores in Las Vegas and Washington DC say they have silver M10s available. I'll keep patiently waiting on my black one, back ordered since March 28 at B&H.

It appears those are all gone now. Not surprised.

Thanks for the summary - very interesting. Some strange anomalies. Let us know when you get yours - looks a good choice of dealer. Wish I had gone with them, but I guess if they have a sudden bulge in orders they will be into longer lead times.

Leica stores in Bellevue, Washington and Las Vegas both say they have silver and black M10s available as of 10 minutes ago.

... and according to the web site, the black one is no longer available at the Lass Vegas store. Still holding out for my original B&H order. One day my ship (ment) will come in.

I was randomly looking to see who had a Silver Leica M10 available and came across one at popflash.com and was surprised it said "available to ship August 18th". I honestly thought if I ordered now that probably would mean I was low man on the totem pole and would need to wait much longer.  But it wasn't the case at all as my order is confirmed and it's mine! Now I see it's back to saying pre-ordered along with the black version. Sorry :) But i'll be doing a happy dance till it arrives! Good luck to all those still waiting!

Last Friday I was chatting with Sarah at Precision Camera in Austin and they happened to have a black M10 (unbelievable luck!). I snatched it up along with a 1.4/35 FLE and an APO 2/50, both at steep "open box" discount.

They still have some nice lenses available with open box discount. Call Sarah (ext 330) and tell her I sent you.

You know, this whole B&H thing has really given me cause to stop buying anything Leica from them in the future.

I know it's not their fault but the bottom line is the consumer is being "dissed" along with them.

They may not have any power over that but as a consumer I certainly do.

No point to this really.  Just my Wednesday morning vent.

Carry on.................

I found a silver M10 at a dealer here in Norway last Saturday. Got it for 65000,- NOK / 6977,- EUR, including VAT.

They called me back two hours later asking if I really wanted to buy because there was a customer standing there wanting to buy it, I said I had already transferred the money. A close call.

I have been on a waiting list at another dealer, but never heard back from them.

I don't feel as if this makes much sense. From what I understand Leica is giving most outlets the same amount of cameras (1-2 a week), and generally they all are spoken for - at least until lately. It makes sense to keep them well distributed and to keep the smaller shops in the supply chain. I don't think BH is getting inferior treatment, it's just not preferential because they are bigger. At any rate, BH has plenty of business - they practically have a functional monopoly (or close to it) on many items. How many people here  order things from BH regularly that used to drive somewhere locally? I know I do. I still would rather buy things like this from a smaller biz if I can (for many reasons).

If you've got one on order from BH and are waiting then that's fine, but there are plenty of other ways to get one more quickly if the wait time matters much.

If anything, I appreciate the approach Leica is taking here.
