Sure, whatever ya got! I hope to train my eye to better see the characteristics of some of these decades of lens development. Thanks!

For that matter, it would be highly interesting to read a comment on what the photographer feels is distinctive to the lens, where applicable, in the photo they post. If possible. In your first post, the beautiful blooming of the white shirt was certainly a characteristic of the lens, for instance.

I understand what you're asking but I started the thread as a picture thread to show what pictures through particular lenses look like.  I don't want the thread to turn into a thread describing lenses, which will inevitably turn into a discussion etc and the special thing this thread has with the pictures will be lost.

There is an M lens sub-forum and a R lens sub-forum so, with respect, those are the places to seek that information and opinion.

Pete.

Checking for pincushion with my 90mm Thambar. Actually, also checking how it is as a macro lens. Who needs super clarity with macro, anyway?

M10, 2.2/90mm Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Thambar (1937) with Leica Macro-Adapter-M meant for use with the 4/90mm Macro-Elmar

For interest's sake, without the adapter the lens focus is 1M to infinity. With the adapter it is from 0.5M to 1M. This is at about 0.5M.
