Interesting, some time ago, I was told to remove my photos here becoz I didn't use Leica body on a vintage lens.  Although I will never share anything here even with M body, but the moderator is truly rubbish.

Well spotted.  I'm not a Moderator so I have no authority or ability to remove pictures.

@genji Since you're new here you might not be aware that the forum rules state that only pictures made with a Leica body or lens or both may be uploaded to the forum.  The only exception is the 'I Love Film' thread.

Pete.

Even if the third party lens is in Leica M mount (whilst mounted on a non Leica body)?!

I am not the arbiter on what pictures are allowed, Jean-Marc, but for clarity I post an excerpt from the Forum's published rules and a link to the full set:

"Prerequisite for placing a photo is that it has been made with Leica equipment and/or has a strong relationship to a Leica subject. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes the use of Leica lenses on third party bodies, Leica lenses on Leica partner cameras (e.g. Panasonic) and the use of third party lenses on Leica bodies. In general, photographs taken without the use of Leica equipment are not permitted."

The Forum's rules.

Pete. 🙂

Not completely true, Pete. L mount bodies (Panasonic and Sigma) are okay, too, and I believe they can have similar lenses, too. But who really cares about digital anyway. 😄

Sorry: I missed your subsequent reference, so mine is now redundant.

Hi Ken,

To clarify, I'm not aware that it's okay to post a picture with, say, a Sigma L-mount body and a Sigma lens.  The rule was always that it had to be at least a Leica-badged body and/or lens so a 'Panasonic partner' camera such as the Digilux 2 or its equivalent the Panasonic LC-1 which has a Leica-badged lens are okay.  I'd be grateful if you'd point me to where the Forum's rules exempt a non-Leica L-mount body and lens pairing please? 🙂

Pete.

Guessing you were shooting wide-open here. Such a lush landscape would also love to see this one at f5.6 or perhaps at f8.

It doesn’t get any clearer than this:

Please accept my apologies. It won’t happen again. It doesn’t seem possible for me to edit the posts to remove the pictures. Is there someone I can contact to have the posts removed entirely?

@genji
we can only edit our own posts for a limited time after we posted it.
however, left from the post number in the upper right corner of a post, there are the 3 dots for 'more options'.
one of them is report. this will send a message to the moderator team with a link to the message. you can explain why you 'report' your own post.
I wonder if any of the moderators will take the time to delete the post though.
