Nice photos with the Summarit 1.5/50mm. In the second photo the lower part seems a bit too light. As if some reflection influenced the image. Do you know what caused this efect?

Yes I know, a cat pic  ;)  - and not exactly an 'old' lens, though out of production for a while. I went to Red Dot on a £20 errand and foolishly tried this on the camera and of course I was lost. I was downloading the first pics from it and this neighbour came and obligingly posed on the window-sill behind the computer. It's a splendid lens and it's very nice to have a Leica zoom at a relatively bargain price. I'm getting quite keen on R lenses and can't wait to get an M10 of some eventual flavour to use them on.

I've only just realised - this is supposed to be M lenses only - sorry everyone. Would a kind moderator remove it for me please?

And perhaps there should be an R photo thread somewhere on the Forum?

No need to worry, as the starter of this thread I can confirm that there is no restriction on lenses providing that either the lens or the camera is made by Leica as the forum's rules require.  I have posted a number of pictures made with R lenses in the thread as well as M, Contax, Zeiss, Nikkor, Canon, Rollei, Voigtlander, and Hexanon lenses.  The point is to show what pictures taken through older glass look like so please continue to post your pictures taken with R lenses. :)

Pete.

Phew! Thanks Pete. I just suddenly remembered that it was in the M Lenses part of the Forum - but I suppose most of the extraordinary and wonderful glass in this thread needs an adapter of some sort to M mount, so why not an R to M adapter too. I still think an R photo thread would be good though. :)
