A test shot with the Summitar 50/2 LTM on the M9.

Stupid picture, "impressionist" bokeh.

100/2.8 APO-Macro-Elmarit-R with Sigma SD14 (Foveon sensor)

I don't want to dismiss Leica's tremendous efforts in regards of the M10 sensor, but I truly wish, there would be two Leica M10 versions - a colour body with a full frame Foveon sensor and a B&W version (the M Mono, upgraded to identical menu system and ergonomics for easier pairing of both bodies).

This colour photo, done with the Foveon sensor is just creamy perfection!

Dirk,

Thank you for your kind words and I agree with you about the Foveon sensor, which is sadly under-rated and overlooked by all but Sigma. I must however correct myself on the lens, which in my haste I named wrongly; it was the 60/2.8 Macro-Elmarit-R.

Pete.

Beautiful women are beautiful even when they're really, really bad at applying makeup.

This was an event at an art gallery that I go to frequently. The title of the show was "Color Crash". They dusted anybody who wanted with dry tempera paint and then they got their portrait taken. I wasn't the official photog but i think I had more fun than almost anybody. As you noted, I got to shoot a lot of attractive women. :D

I love places that do that, places that interact with the 'audience' for the lack of a better word. Too many arty places take themselves too seriously.

Rod, now that is some serious make up!

Pete, I think the story about the lack of Foveon sensor application lies more in business related issues than in technical interest, performance or availability.

The way it looks, chances are not small, that it will write history among all those wonderful inventions, that died in evolution although their technical superior aspects.

Colours and tonality is, what these sensors really shine with.

Digging a shot from way back out - it reminds me, that I actually like the 75 Summilux, despite sometimes not getting along with it:
