APO 50 in red. Why?

We have discussed the election at length, until the thread ceased to be about the election.

 

 

Actually, somebody dropped a truth-bomb in that thread and just sat back and watched people's heads blow up.  It was so simple.  So predictable.  

 

But, I thought we agreed to stop talking about it - I know I did.  What about you?

 

I love this lens.  Photography should be fun.  This lens is fun.

In all seriousness I am assuming the lens is being sold in red because when viewed from the front it resembles a red dot (if the cap is red, too)

 

Dr. Kaufmann has had a red APO 50 for a while, there were probably enough customer inquires to justify it.
