ianman Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2061 Posted January 18, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are Leica likely to publish/release the user manual today? Nah, it's only available as a pdf in the camera.... that's why it's got wifi, so you can read it on your phone
Advertisement Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Hi ianman, Take a look here Leica M 10. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
anupmc Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2062 Posted January 18, 2017 Am i right saying that ISO dial does not have the fixing button? so it could be easily changed occasioanly Personally I'd be perfectly fine if it's no different that the shutter speed dial. I certainly don't accidentally bump that wrongly. And I don't expect to bump into the top left edge of the camera while viewing through the OV. For all other times, I can see exactly what it's set at instantly without performing finger gymnastics

Leica have just brought out the Sofort. Maybe a wifi printer using Instax mini? Like the Fuji Instax Share SP-1/
LocalHero1953 Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2065 Posted January 18, 2017 Its right on the edge - you can easily bump it putting in/out your bag ( if you use the bag at all) I think it will be a lift-to-turn dial - that's why it is so deep seen from the side, with a step you can get your fingers under. helged Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2066 Posted January 18, 2017 Beautiful body! Although reduced thickness has been requested over and over again in this and other threads, I am quite confident - at least for my hand - that the holding of the body will not improve when the (relatively) heavy 50Noct or some of the larger M-luxes and M-crons are used. No upgrade on my side this time (also because I find the SL a very capable, enjoyable and handable tool to use)...

Anyway, from all we have seen till now this is going to be a very nice camera, a practically mandatory upgrade from the M9, but whether it is worth the expense of replacing an M 240 is highly doubtful, depending on one's needs, of course (e.g. eye relief etc for spectacles wearers) For newcomers to Leica: very attractive, I would say. anupmc Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2068 Posted January 18, 2017 And what is your strap going to do? And you expect the strap is able to change the ISO dial but the Leica designers are too stupid to notice?
Paul J Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2069 Posted January 18, 2017 I think the physical design looks better than I had feared. But the M10 is nothing I need. Time for plan B.
harmen Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2070 Posted January 18, 2017 By the looks of it a future M-D version could look svelte
ianman Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2071 Posted January 18, 2017 And what is your strap going to do? Use your imagination !
Agent M10 Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2072 Posted January 18, 2017 From the specs on Leica Rumors, it doesn't appear to have video. I've read a few articles that said video diminishes image quality. It'll be interesting to hear what Leica says about that, if anything. I like the thin factor, but I don't believe it is worth giving up my M-D.

TomB_tx Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2078 Posted January 18, 2017 It sounds like the viewfinder has caught up with the Ikon ZM, which my old eyes much prefer to any Leica M. That alone is enough for me to consider finally switching from my M9. The 240 and such had no appeal to me. But perhaps I'll wait for the M-D version, which is what I really want. steveBK Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2080 Posted January 18, 2017 Looks lovely, though not for me. SL/Q sensor is nice, but as expected no better. Thinner but not materially lighter. Wider view OVF is good, but will make my existing problem worse - focussing accuracy.. All that for an M240 user shooting mostly 50mm, not a big deal.
