Thank you Henry and Gary I'm classified as being totally colour blind (but I can see colours) so do not see the same hues as most other people. I'm trying to be more accurate with colours in PP but often have problems with greens - which look OK to me but not to others. The Buick photo was awful when first post processed but I did not fully realise how bad it was - so it's encouraging to receive some positive feedback following reprocessing. If I look really hard and go back to the image several times I can see where it needs further processing - especially if I take into account the time of day and weather conditions and adjust as per likely colour temperature.

Cheers

From birth - first realised when aged 5 or 6 was reprimanded for painting a 'sea' purple in a school art class.

But it's not a major problem for me - I'm used to it and have learnt to 'ask' and to adjust. A friend often assists me with photo exhibition PDI entries i.e. he checks my colours before I submit the entries. If he advises (via Email)  the colours are not 'right' I adjust.

Colour blindness is a misnomer because most colour blind people see colours - even if colour tests indicate severe colour blindness. Very few colour blind people see the world only in B&W.

Cheers

Thank you Henry … even with my not so good colour perception I can see the DMR's results are pleasantly different to those of the the SL 601. I'm planning to try both cameras side by side with the same subject(s) and lighting and thus try and obtain a better idea of just how different the results are.

Hi Dunk , I think you'll have difference between both , one with CCD sensor and one with Cmos.

When I saw that some people who like color in Cmos when the M240 came out , I smile ,

because now almost everyone regrets the CCD (M8-M9).

It's interesting you do the comparison. We'll have big surprise.

Erwin Puts said about CCD M9 "vivid color" and only "neutral" (almost "flat" IMO) for Cmos M240

and to finish film Kodak looks very similar in color with CCD sensor of M8 or M9.

Best

Henry
