Hai , absolutely magnifique , color and softness of these last pictures.

Thanks to all of you for posting !

Now people always look for more and more pixels , I post you this link and the affirmation of Olympus

in 2009 is still valid  , against the pixels race and isos race !  and mostly when I see your last pictures with DMR

http://www.cnet.com/news/olympus-12-megapixels-is-enough-for-most-folks/

Hai , if you like these colors and if you still have analog camera , try one roll of Kodak Portra and compare

with your DMR pictures.

I already do it with my M9 (18 Mpx) and M8 (10Mpx) CCD Kodak sensor !

"Queueing for an Ice Cream"

R9/DMR 28-90mm R

It's an annual event so I plan to attend next weekend 10/11/12 June, Wicksteed Park near Kettering - free entry apart from car park charge. Lots of photo opportunities e.g. mock WW2 battles - lots of smoke and explosions; visitors in 40s period costume and weekend soldiers in uniforms.

Many of the photos in this thread are wonderful.  Makes me want to try out a DMR, although I do not think that I ever will since I have no R equipment.  In any case thanks for sharing them!

Probably a cost effective purchase e.g. DMR, R8 and 50mm R can be purchased for £1500 or less - but make sure it has two good batteries.  2Gb SD cards are plentiful and cheap but camera is fussy ref brand - Fuji cards are fine.

haha thanks Dunk, but I think I will stay with my M equipment and start resurrecting some of my film Ms.  I am also avidly following the "I love film" thread and that is really making me nostalgic.  I also enviously enjoyed your posts with the extreme telephoto lenses and had to control myself to avoid looking for such equiment!

Regarding pixels & isos race is fine for me since it's a natural process that camera manufacturers have to provide to consumers

demand and we all profit more or less from these advanced technology.

As you know, cameras & gears are very personal, there is no right or wrong decision just what one needs, wants ... and decide

what's the best tool for them to acquire.

Personally, I went through all Leica cameras since the R3 /M6 to digital from DMR to M9, have tried (each for a week) the S006,

M240 and the new SL. As I've mentioned somewhere in the L-Forum that there are plenty (technically almost in all aspects) much better cameras than the DMR but the images of these cameras produce are definitely different (not better or worse) from a DMR.

It could be something to do that I love film rendering and found it in the digital world in a DMR, which gives me the most film like

from any digital cameras I've tested.

Oh, I have plenty analogue cameras R3,R4,R4s,R62,3xR8,M6,M6TTL,M7 etc... (ways too much gears) but I've stop using film

since my move from Europe to South East Asia 2 years ago because it isn't easy to find film and a place to develop the film here

and I am not ready to setup a darkroom for this yet. As soon as I'm retired, it could be another story.

Salutations

Hai

May be I am too old for all these electronic novelties, the use of computer

and software correction. These are not my strong points ....but everyone does what he likes :)
For color especially , nothing to correct  for film.

"Peace to my soul".... and the images are beautiful

Nice pictures posted Hai . Thanks

It's fine Henri, just have fun with every single shutter count, doesn't matter it's analogue or digital :)
