This belongs as a 2 meter high print in a gallery or on my wall! Super photo Demitris!

i love the negative space, but wish for a little visibility of the stem. IMHO.

Thank you so much Dan! I really appreciate your encouraging comments!

This weekend I will create a new thread with the dahlia buds photos. I am very proud of them and have done a lot of work. I essentially got ill (I am currently with fever) taking photos of them in the cold. so I assure you they are much better than this photo! ;)

I wanted to get some more but I am currently home recovering.. I have about 10 though, plenty enough... I think it may be an ongoing project in the end.

I look forward to seeing them. Take care of the fever first!

These are fantastic, Dimitris, and I certainly second Dan!

Thanks: I love Dahlias, too. There are from my bumper crop in my backyard.

so looking forward to your Dahlia study, and feel better soon, Dimitris!

Thank you so much Ken!! I will probably post them tonight!

Thank you for the suggestion Dan. You are absolutely right. I replaced the photo and on the new one the stem is shown up very very subtly! It will take some time for the image preview to change but you can see the new version by clicking on the image I posted opening it on my webpage.

Very informative video! It inspired me to bring with me the water spray bottle whenever I go to take macros!!

Waterspray is allright. But some to vain photographers are useing icespray to fix insects like dragonflies for a take. But this is just cruelty to animals.

Here are some of the Dahlia buds on black. I have created a thread with them. I may add more photos in the future:
