Beautiful shots! For some reason your first shot reminds of one of those overhead dance scenes from a Busby Berkeley movie.

Heavily cropped. Was as close as I could get.

Excellent. I tried this morning. You did better than me. You got the markings very nicely featured.  I’ll try again tomorrow. Mine would not be still.

Thank you. This wasn’t the first and only shot I took... if you know what I mean. 😉

I know. Same with me. I sometimes will take a 100 images and choose one or two to post on the forum. To my thinking much of being a good photographer is very selective post processing to discover the very best.

Reckon you do well with your macro, and others.  Macro shots take a lot of practice, and horrors sometimes other camera-lens systems are easier and better.

I like yours, and if you keep showing...I'll keep looking.

All best.

Loved the Iris throat, and the various pistils are beauties.

Well done, not easy.

David. This is easier than you might realize. Using the ring flash makes all the difference. It freezes motion so I can do all the shots handheld. I can easily adjust exposure using minor adjustments to the aperture dial. The Q2 has such high resolution it allows extreme cropping and still having a nice image. I’m not aware of anyone else using a macro ring flash on the Q / Q2. I consider it to be a fantastic combination.
