Here is another try.  28mm f/8 1/125 sec ISO 1600 macro mode and then cropped so it would be less than 500kb

Snowflakes (frozen Water), Leica Q2, 1/200, f/2.8, ISO 200, macro Mode, Murami 5X close-up filter, Canon MR-14 EX II Ring Flash, handheld, 24 degrees Fahrenheit, Colorado Springs. I absolutely love photographing snowflakes. They are a tremendous challenge. I let them fall on a black micro-fiber cloth and then move in close and take a series pf photos to try and get one sharp. The temperature and humidity were perfect. I will add some kind of scale in the future, but these guys are small. I'd guess 1-2 mm. The resolution of the Q2 allows the strong crop. .

More snowflakes today. Funny, it was snowing and the sun was coming out. Leica Q2, 1/250, ISO 400, f/14, Macro mode, Murami Close-Up filter, Manual focus, Canon MR-14 EX II ring flash, handheld. I'm posting the cropped and the original size shot so you can see how small the flakes are. The Q2 sensor resolution enables extreme cropping.

Haven't seen any activity here since the great snow flake images so here is one to get this thread going again.

Very, very nice. I love how sharp the image is and how balanced the light is.
