Joshua Lowe Posted March 25, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 25, 2016 Just the regular nylon strap. Leica went cheapskate on the MM246's extras compared to the original MM.

250swb Posted March 26, 2016 Share #6 Posted March 26, 2016 The leather strap was horrible anyway. Steve
Luke_Miller Posted March 26, 2016 Share #7 Posted March 26, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) The leather strap was horrible anyway. Steve Agree - M246 buyers are saved the bother of replacing the leather strap.
Belle123 Posted March 26, 2016 Share #8 Posted March 26, 2016 You want some strap suggestions? I have quite a few Angelo Pelle straps, but be sure getting the beefier ones. The thin ones are little too lightweight for the M. I have a braided one that works well. I also like Arte Di Mano, and his cases are superb but extremely expensive but worth the difference. Superb fit.
Edward Louis Marit Posted March 27, 2016 Share #9 Posted March 27, 2016 Agree with Steve. I used the leather strap for about a week then replaced it.
250swb Posted March 29, 2016 Share #10 Posted March 29, 2016 Agree with Steve. I used the leather strap for about a week then replaced it. I spent a week trying to get some flexibility into it by squashing it into balls and twisting into corkscrews while I watched TV, you can guess the result, it still stood up on it's own. Edward Louis Marit Posted March 30, 2016 Share #11 Posted March 30, 2016 Yes it is unusually stiff. And mine squeaked which was like nails on a blackboard. So I folded it up and put it back in the box.
enboe Posted April 1, 2016 Share #12 Posted April 1, 2016 May I offer one counter-viewpoint? I enjoyed my Monochrom leather strap enough to procure ones for my M246 and M262. I would grab another for another body I use if I get the chance. Perhaps you're not getting enough user time to break in the strap. Make that a (late) New Year's resolution. elgenper Posted April 1, 2016 Share #13 Posted April 1, 2016 Another vote for the MM leather strap. Mine is nice and supple by now, with a quality feeling worthy of a Leica. Nylon web feels cheap (although it does its job, admittedly).
AceVentura1986 Posted April 3, 2016 Share #14 Posted April 3, 2016 Bought my M9M a year ago and quickly applied coconut oil to the leather strap. It was immediately better, more pliable and supple. After a year, the strap is completely broken in.
