A few more pictures from my APO Vario-Elmarit 90-280mm test. Pics are from a Holi celebration.  Definitely liking this lens.

I had the day off today so I wondered around the state capitol. I love this building! It was completed in 1878.

It was totally renovated in 1989-1993 but there were very few artisans in the USA who knew how to do this kind

of work so the state imported dozens of artisans from Europe (mostly Italy and Germany if I remember correctly)

to do the restoration. SL all with the SL 24-90.

Thanks,

Mark

The main floor is glass tile. The children are invited to lie on their backs and look straight up to the center

of the dome (161 feet above the floor).

martial arts (Naginata) outdoors.  Contrasty light, testing L-Log profile for video.  This still developed from a raw file with 80% highlight reduction and 60% shadow enhancement (Capture One parameters):

I framed loosely because when shooting 4K video, the "super 35" area of the chip that is used is a bit smaller than APS-C, leading to a multiplication factor of about 1.6.

Berlin's Brandenburg Gate with the SL & Voigtlander 50mm f1.5

Loving the opportunities for shallow depth-of-field and almost pin-hole vignetting at f1.5

...and/or pin-sharp clarity at f8... all in a small, light package.

Industrial Black Magic at the German Museum or Technology, Berlin.

Leica SL with 24-90mm, 800-1600 iso, handheld at between 1/6th and 1/25th second, around 30-40mm, f4, OIS enabled. Straight out of camera monochrome jpegs.

Never was black so beautiful...

Scott - please keep reasonably close to the forum's limit on image size, even for externally linked images. The limits say not to exceed 1280 pixels in any direction, file size not larger than 500kb (or 1MB if you're a premium member). Yours is 4000x6000 pixels and 33.6 MB, which is bound to stall the browser of quite a few members, not to speak of the contribution of the data plans of many mobile members.

I have removed the oversized image and left a link.
