Yes, do learn a useful skill. It can bring out the very best of your digital pictures. There are lots of useful videos online for free self-education.

Actually I find the original portrait more exciting, because of the light and dark play, the shadow on one side of the face and the light on the other part.

My grandson always with the ball since he was little. (9-10 years old) him Today he plays in a local team in Spain.

In TL2, it becomes a 200mm MF that without tripods must be treated with care to avoid blurring the photo. I use it little, only when it is extremely necessary.

...had to do a portrait of myself, aka "selfie". SL2 & Summicron 90SL + Deep Octabox and used Leica Fotoapp as remote trigger and to check composition while posing. Actually a situation where the app is really helpful...
