As they're on the outside on the first floor, they can not be seen from close up. Welcome, dear visitor! Michael Geschlecht Posted November 24, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) Hello Philipp, Nice photos. Do you know who the people are who were used as the models for these faces? By this I don't mean the people who they were meant to represent. Altho that would also be interesting to know. I mean the people who's copied features we are looking at here? Best Regards, Michael Edited November 24, 2014 by Michael Geschlecht

pop Posted November 27, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted November 27, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you, Michael and Stuart. Unfortunately, I do not know whom the faces are supposed to represent. Given that much of the illustration and other decoration were of a highly allegorical nature and meant to remind the members of both chambers to make wise use of their powers, I don't think those were meant to represent anyone in particular. At a guess and seeing their exotic headgear, they could just as soon represent citizens of the ancient greek cities.
