Anybody planning on a major purchase in the new year? Don't care what you'd be getting; you gonna turn some cash loose? Â itchy, s-a
ynp Posted November 22, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted November 22, 2014 Yes. Saving for the newest Leica S. Hope it will be available by September.
FrozenInTime Posted November 22, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted November 22, 2014 I don't anticipate anything new from Leica that will tempt me or be available in 2015, so the M-A I just bought was justified as a 2015 budget item.
Torgian Posted November 26, 2014 Share #4 Â Posted November 26, 2014 Maybe a used m6. Depends on a number of factors.
gyoung Posted November 26, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted November 26, 2014 Had almost convinced myself to sort out the cash for a used M E or M9, but since the snow started lying on the sensors... It will probably be a Nikon D750 Â Gerry

FrozenInTime Posted November 27, 2014 Share #13 Â Posted November 27, 2014 An updated MM ...... I hope? Â I think it will be very interesting to see what they do with the MM. Â Will a CMOS monochrome sensor in the M.240/M-P style body hit the mark or was the magic a combination of the CCD sensor in the smaller body. bocaburger Posted November 27, 2014 Share #14 Â Posted November 27, 2014 Got all the lenses and accessories I want. The 70-210 R lens I bought for $200 last month was the first lens I've bought in at least 5 years. Got a demo M240 last month also. And a Nex6 for backup. And a Lumix ZS40 for rock concerts. I'm all GASsed up for this year and hopefully the next few.
Jeff S Posted November 27, 2014 Share #15 Â Posted November 27, 2014 Will a CMOS monochrome sensor in the M.240/M-P style body hit the mark or was the magic a combination of the CCD sensor in the smaller body. Â This will likely be subject to some of the same debate that exists between M9 and M advocates. I, for one, prefer the M in all ways (after turning the video off). Â I look forward to comparing a new MM against b/w from the current M, not against the M9-based MM. But no rush. Â Jeff
philipus Posted November 29, 2014 Share #16 Â Posted November 29, 2014 I'm currently curious about the S-A 3.4, though I'm also tempted by a 203FE and a Mamiya 6. We shall see what happens next year.

Sandokan Posted December 14, 2014 Share #18 Â Posted December 14, 2014 +1. MM with CMOS and live view would tempt me. Â Otherwise, the Sony 7ii for use with R and M lenses. Or the Nikon D750 with the 58/1.4G which I like the results from as much as the pre-aspherical 50 Summilux.
