M(240) at low temperatures

I plan a phototrip to Lappland next winter. Does anyone have experience with the M(240) at very low temperatures, say minus 20 to minus 30 degrees Centigrade?

Not with the 240. Just keep to the general advice. A couple of batteries in a warm pocket, the camera under your coat, take care of freezing condensation when going from cold to hot.

I've used my M8 in Antarctica by minus 20°C.

I think your M will be fine.

I have used my M240 down to -40C a few times and around -20C a lot. Nothing to worry about - just take the usual precautions. Your main concern will be battery life (and your frozen fingers of course).

I have used my M240 in temperatures below -20C for long periods. No special precautions. didn't keep it under my coat or keep a battery in my pocket. Winter photography has its challenges but it is rewarding.
