leica dream Posted April 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 19, 2014 What a lovely image - sharp focus of the crisp low early spring sunshine. Very stimulating. Richard
Iduna Posted April 19, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 19, 2014 Howard, yes, this kind of forest light is typical for very early spring, beech trees and no foliage to soften the harsh lighting. I know this feeling from our forests here. Nice capture. I can already imagine how it will look like when a veil of light green foliage will cover it. Please give us an update througout the seasons. }{B Posted April 20, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted April 20, 2014 Thanks for the comments. No doubt I will be walking this path again as the year progresses with the advantage that a higher sun lights up the stream earlier in the day.

}{B Posted April 21, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted April 21, 2014 What a wonderful image. Thank you. Did you scan a print? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Glad you liked it. This is a scan of the original Ektar negative using a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400. I have what Minolta call an 'image correction job' set up with the scanner which gets me close to what I want the end result to look like. The rest is down to tweaking LIghtroom settings. }{B Posted April 23, 2014 Author Share #10 Posted April 23, 2014 That's a great scanner! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It's also no longer made and from what I understand the film holders are also no longer available. I have only one holder for negative strips and should the locking catch break as it did on my mounted slide holder then I will need to find a new scanner.
