I bite the bullet and bought a second new battery for this camera. The battery life lasts long when using the camera with rangefinder only. But I have also the VF-2 EVF - the EVF and/or LiveView sucks battery life much more quickly. Nevertheless, the majority of my photos will be taken with the rangefinder.

I rarely charge my battery. Use of EFV or LV does add a drain effect on the battery but perfectly manageable. This is rather like a "how long is a piece of string?" question.
