The R system is dead; there will be no successor. Reusing the R mount would only make sense for a FF DSLR system – and I am reasonably sure Leica won’t go that route –, not for a mirrorless camera. Leica’s solution for R lenses is the M (and possibly its successors) and I don’t think they are looking for yet another solution. Still the bit about ‘keep the M line untouched’ rings true. Thanks Michael! I am sure you will be right, like I wrote, I was just hoping&dreaming along ;-) Well, as long as the sales of the T series will earn enough money for Leica to survive and inovate (! Yes, strictly speaking it is very probable that it won't NEED it , but if the T will be what we are speculating, an M adapter will provide addon sales to people like US... ; of course it could probably be made by 3rd parties... but (depending on the cost) Leica could even give a certain degree of "intelligence" to it (6 bit reading with trasmission of the info to the body... could be complex or not too much, depending on the specs of the new mount) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
