i am definitely talking about you, as i remember the thread to which you refer. thought perhaps you would be picking up a 50apo. no matter, would be glad for you to share some film images here. all the best, adam

Hi Adam, I'd like to get the 50 APO, however all I have at this time is a R9.  I thought it would be nice to get a M7 (with it's auto exposure) to quickly switch between cameras instead of having to switch lenses at a moment's notice.  In the meantime, the images below were mostly taken with my R9 and APO-Summicron-R 90mm f/2 ASPH lens.  The wider shots were shot from my Canon Rebel 2000 (film body) and a rented lens Zeiss Distagon T* 25mm f/2.0 ZE Lens for Canon EF Mount.  The images were recorded on Cine Still Film 800 ISO pushed two stops (3200 ISO,) and developed also with a two push stop.

You may have seen some of these from another film forum, however I now have more to share.  There are a few more from this series, but I won't have time to work on them till around mid January or so.

I'll post some photos of the APO-50 on film soon.

sincere thanks

after the spirited discussion of this lens on film a while back (which was full of intimation), it will be interesting to see some real life examples from a trusted photographer...

And I thought you would mention Daguerrotypie, as with this the French gave Photographie as a gift to the world!

The French also gave us Henri Cartier Bresson, Robert Doisneau and very many others (not to forget Henri Matisse, Paul Bocuse and Edith Piaf, Benoit B. Mandelbrot). :)

Hi Ric - i didnt forget about you but i was on Bank St for a management offsite that left me with not even time to attend to my toilet needs! the evenings were not much better as i had obligations with several colleagues who came in from around the world. Given the lack of light, i didnt even bring a camera!

i am not usually without some large pockets of time and will be sure to ping you (as well as Ian) in advance of my next trip.

best, Adam
