I like film...(open thread)

Wow, this has such a nice painterly vintage feel to it and the colours have a hint of one of the older kodachrome palettes.

Looks great Josh, I much prefer this one to the colour one (which looked ok exposed to me). It's a very good conversion technically as well, because you've managed to retain detail in the white snowboard bindings.

Terrific Christoph and kudos for having waited for her gaze. I like the colours a lot.

This is such a happy disaster moment and yet another, among all the other ones, reason to just love film.

I think they have stared at one of Rog's latest and are off to that dark place at camera right :D

Love the idea of a vertical pano, Rog.  I think, though, that this would work better with 20% at most of the frame with water then the next 30% or so the base of the bridge and then the remaining 50% the details of the bridge above the base.  I might need Marc’s @MT0227 4x5 to get sufficient upward tilt and rise to make this happen.  Thanks again for the excellent thought!

Many thanks, Paul!

Thanks a lot, Klaus!

Really beautiful, Robert!

Wow a real stunner!

Hi Michael - yes i played arounnd with this and decided i didnt like it bc it took too much surface area of the file size away and also made the base of the bridge a little bit too dominant IMO.

Sincere thanks, Ramesh.  I really appreciate that!

Ha!  This is awesome, Phil - and hysterical!  It deserved to be enshrined in Brent’s @fotografr thread for sure! 🙂

Great thoughts, Philip.  I really love the input and ideas that i get from you guys.  So thoughtful and smart!

Love it!!

Wow, very cool!!

Priceless and the portra 400 holds its own with the bold colors (could easily be Ektar)

This is really beautiful!

Good one, Wayne!

Wow, another kaleidoscope of shapes colors and textures !

Beautiful countryside!!

Hello Adam,

Making the bridge dominant was the idea. It changes the impact of the photo.

Best Regards,

Michael

Direct flash from Contax T2, Ilford Delt 400. I like this trashy style with the flash, will try to use it more often.

Deine Aufnahmen hier gefallen mir ausgesprochen gut. Ich bin zwar kein ausgwiesener B&W Fan, aber das was du hier zeigst ist absolut sehenswert und gefällt mir sehr gut.

Thank you gentlemen,

I indeed waited for her gaze (there are other shots when she's oblivious to the approaching Leica).

I did underexpose quite a bit, I suppose the resulting colours are the result of my rescue efforts...

Best regards,

Christoph

Apart from the composition I really like the subdued Colour palette.

Well seen!
