Colours on a wall with bike.

M6, 35, ProImage 100@200

For whatever reason I recently forgot to adjust the sensitivity of the meter when I moved from Portra 160 to Ektar. So once I had finished with the Ektar I also shot a ProImage at 200, as I normally develop 2 films at a time, particularly when developing colour film myself. Here's a first result from the pushed ProImage. Colours are very fine, but the grain has become a bit rough, though that's not very visible on this picture.

Not very visible indeed. That is fantastic texture. So tactile and alive. What makes film wonderful.

Wow! I loaded a roll of ProImage in my Soviet Power rig (Kiev III & Soviet copy of 50/2 Sonnar;) I will be shooting it at 200 now. :)

Best,

Wayne

I like the play of colours on these fabrics. Well stitched together...

I worked all night on it with my Singer Sewing machine, until I realized I had the wrong pattern, which was marked "Barnum & Bailey" on the reverse side. Oh, well, I need all the circus I can get. Ha, ha, ha. Thanks for your keen eye and kindness to horses.

What outstanding photo-art: the colors, composition, texture, tone, and sensitivity. What intrigue! The Umbrella Academy. They are lining up in the street. Thanks for sharing this; it just makes my day.

I agree with Antonio, one of my photographic pilgrim places in Paris 😀. And very nicely captured with the couple here, a touch surrealistic, with him sitting on one of the columns to gain sufficient height to be on equal footing with her, clumsily holding the flower, separated but clearly belonging together. Makes me think of marionettes.

Both very strong B&W as well. I particularly like the perspective on the river.

Here an example of the pushed ProImage film showing the increased grain - or so I thought. In the original size the grain is clearly visible in the out-of focus areas - almost to a pointillistic effect - thought I notice that the size reduction to publish the picture here mostly gets rid of the grain and replaces it with some visual smudge... If you squint your eyes and dream you can still imagine the grain 😀

Christoph, fantastic color  foto; but I don't understand the part about the film speed. Box speed Portra 160: 160. Ektar 100: 100. Proimage: 100. Where comes the IE 200 in ?  Do you expose the Ektar @ 200? That gives excessive saturation in my experience...

Btw: I usually do the Portra 160 @100... reduces the contrast a little bit..and you can switch to Ektar without bother..

Good morning Klaus,

After having used Portra @ 160, I forgot to change the meter to 100 when I changed to Ektar film. Once I noticed my mistake I decided to also to push a ProImage film by one stop. I may show some results of that pushed Ektar soon...

Pushed ProImage has some interesting characteristics. That pushed Ektar, I am not yet sure about...

Yes - hard to imagine today that there was a time before graffiti.
